I'm looking at getting an SLI compatible motherboard within the coming months, but I only really see Crossfire support included in the majority of them, do they essentially mean the same thing? For example, would this be SLI compatible, even though it only says Crossfire?

YOUR BASKET
2 x Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard with FREE 16GB USB 2.0 PEN £75.98 (£151.96)
Total : £163.37 (includes shipping : £9.50).

SLI support requires the PCI-E slots for the GFX cards to run at least 8X.

The one you have linked only supports Crossfire at 16X for the top slot and 4X for the other slot.

This one,

Z77X-D3H

Does SLi/Crossfire at 8X/8X.
