Asus Crosshair III Formula AMD 790FX (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard

Specifications

Multi-GPU Support - Support ATI CrossFire™X Technology graphics cards

So doesn't do SLI...

You would need something from the Nvidia chipset... (click on AMD AM3 link)

Im running the 790FX atm with some Nvida 8800Gt's and I can confirm it wont work, plus the bios doesnt fit the screen 100% either. if your thinking about it becuase of the sata's as well the white ports are slow 2x620GB Blacks top raid speed was 140MB/s blueports get solid 200MB/s so you will have 6 good ports and 4 spare slightly slower which seem only to be raid as well.
Dvd drive doesnt work properly when i use the white ports. so its an ok board, I got it because it had the extra sata ports but was let down by the speed and the fact you can only prob use 2ports in non raid and 4 in raid and 4 blue ports while in raid I believe. other than that its a really good board and Dolby sound settings are good when using an optical out on a 5.1 cinema system. the new Ati cards are top notch atm but I would never normally get Cards with the wrong chipset im borrowing mine atm till i get the new ATI when it drops in price. also the cards run at full wack till windows loads which is a bit annoying.

You need one with a nVidia chipset, preferrably the 980a.

A quick Google brought up the MSI NF980-E65, which is not terribly good and not stocked by OcUK either.

But yeah, you need one that uses a nVidia chipset, something the company no longer produces I do believe.
