I'm using an old Abit IS7-E motherboard with a P4 2.4C Socket 478 processor. Initially the whole system worked fine (no overclocking was done) but then it would begin to switch itself off.
I removed all the components leaving behind just the cpu and its heatsink. Now it won't turn on at all. The power light on the motherboard lights up but when the power button on the casing is switched on, the fans turn for a second and then it powers down immediately. The power supply used is a recently bought Coolermaster extreme power 380W.
Any ideas ?? Cause I do not want to buy a new motherboard to find out that its the cpu/power supply thats dead instead.
