Hi,

Im looking to buy the Asus Striker II as a motherboard for my 2 8800 gtx's and for overclocking a Q6600.
I wanna get a good soundcard and want to get the Creative X-F-gamer.
But Ive heard with the 2 graphic cards, it wont fit.
Can anyone help? isnt the x-fi pci slot. Wont there be any space and what can I do?

I also hook my pc's sound into a £200 amp sometimes, because the sound is going through the amp does the soundcard matter?

Thanks

You would need a PCI soundcard. 2 8800's would take up 1 slot and cover the one underneath it. So the PCI-E 1x slot is out of the question, leaving only 1x spare PCI to plug something into.
Though this board has onboard sound anyway. Thus you will not 'need' a seperate soundcard. Unless you didnt like the onboard sound.

SupremeFX II Audio Card with ADI 1988B 8-channel High Definition Audio CODEC.

Im not sure what I use yet.
My speakers for the pc will the Creative Inspire T3100 2.1 Speakers

Or another creative 2.1 a bit more expensive around £40

So I will use the best cable or sound connection I can for the 2.1

and the other output would be to a £200 yamaha amp, I was going to use optical cable, but I heard there are better things, so what ever is the best Ill use.

Is the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer 7.1 a pci card? So would it be ok?

Thanks
