As title states guys, I've finally fitted the pc, however I spent a few hours trying to sort this until 03:00 here is what happens.
Pc turns on loads up what states to be gigabyte, for about a second or two. But then it goes straight to password.
Here's what I tried to do,
Took battery out of mobo, did CMOS restart with screwdriver. No good, so I did it again, left batt out for ten mins left screw driver on for 5-8 secs, no good,
This I tried the on off switch, just in case there was any spare electric left running through did that about 2 sec intervals. Whilst cmos resetting, my friend reckons I need a jumper to go on the cmos pins but mobo never came with one which is pain in the bum. Anyone able to recommend anything

What board and parts are they?? Sounds like password on boot has been set in the bios. Can you get into the bios before the password comes up?? Normally spam f2 or delete when u boot. If u can there will be an option in there to use password.

ga-z87-hd3 by gigabyte, I've disconnected everything off my mobo bar the i5 processors (ofc) the ram I kept in but the gpu hdd have been disconnected I've tried to press delete for bios but it won't allow it just loads up and then goes to password screen

Are these new parts or 2nd hand? If 2nd hand previous owner may have set a bios password which you hitting. Also is your keyboard definitely being recognised when booting?

Keyboard is up yes, however the mobo is brand new i5 is second hand I've disconnected everything else now so all I'm running is processor and ram ram is my old ram

To clear the CMOS, you don't need a jumper. A flat bladed screwdriver or even a spoon handle works just fine. As long as it's conductive, you can short the pins (what the jumper does).

If a BIOS password s somehow set, it stops you getting anywhere. I had great fun helping a friend unlock his PC after he somehow managed to set the BIOS password and BIOS HDD password without realising.

If a CMOS clear doesn't work, then you're basically stuck. Has it been doing this ever since you put the system together?

Yeah it's been doing it since I got it, all set up yesterday, I've tried multiple things but if I have I'll take back the mobo even though I don't want to it's just very stressful if I have to

Right finally I got somewhere what I did was this took battery out, I then placed screwdriver on cmos pins (with rubber handle) I then turned pic on still came up with password but then I I thought I'll rotate the screwdriver left and right now I'm able to go onto do stuff down side battery is out haha

Just put battery in and now it's working and entering bios I can now finally sort pc out yes so if anyone has the same problem try that out hahaah it was last thing before I dismantle

Thats very worrying though. I have never ever seen that on a new board before. Never had a board come without a cmos jumper either. Was the box and antistatic bag sealed?

Yeah bud was sealed me and my friends thought same it could be second hand but it's from a Reputable place here in Plymouth , now I got a new problem installing the damn windows it refuses to install, I've done everything lol but I'll put this problem on where it needs to go
