Motherboard keeps forgetting boot order

Have a new Gigabyte Aorus B450 elite that keeps forgetting the boot order whenever it's powered off at the mains, if I restart or shutdown and power on again it's fine, it's only when it has no power it does it. I have to keep going in and re-setting it to the windows boot manager manually. Any idea what could be causing it?

I don't think it's the CMOS battery, motherboard is 2 days old and it keeps all the other BIOS settings (manual memory timings I've added etc.)

I am, but it was doing it before I installed them.

I always pop in a new Duracell in all my Mobos.

If it was duff it wouldn't be saving all of my other custom BIOS settings though surely?

After some frantic googling, turns out the "Power loading" option in the BIOS should be switched from Auto to Enabled if there are boot problems, just tested it with a complete power off and it seems to have worked, no idea why or how. I wish motherboards would go back to having DIP switches, I knew where I was then!
