Am putting together a quad core yorkfield 2.66Ghz quad cpu onto an Abit IX38Quad GT board with 4Gb matched pair Corsair Dominator RAM, Gigabit PSU (Odin 800) Radeon 2900XT HD (working ok-last system) when booting just resets and power goes off then comes back on after 1-3 secs
have tried alt PSU no help same thing,

HELP!!!

by the way my sig is all wrong these days

Is the memory 1gb or 2gb sticks? And have you tried it with just one stick?

And how far does it get before resetting?

So on the POST screen? Atleast that rules out an OS problem.

Try it with just one stick of memory. If that doesn't work then try with just the other stick.

doesn't even resch post snd currently out of case and no hdd attaches im using SATA drives
tried both sticks of memory seperatly still no good

I take it you have already tried resetting hte cmos?

Try the system outside of the case, The motherboard may be grounding somewhere.

Have you connected all your motherboard power connections?

What voltage does your memory need?

It's out the box, SATA drives, have tried CMos reset, tried both RAM sticks seperately, GFX worked fine yesterday, cut to basics-no more than needed to boot still same prob.

talked to supplier who went through the same stuff I was trying

mmmm???

We love PC's don't we?
