Just recently bought this mobo and I'm running it with a gtx 260.

On my Previous board, some ancient Asus 1 you need a little internal cable connected to the mobo and the card to allow you to output sound to a TV through a dvi to hdmi adaptor.

On the new board I can't find the corrector header on the mobo (edit: well the 1 I think it is doesn't fit as my connector has a different shaped end), so can only get vid but no sound on my TV.

Here's the current connector on eBay; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC-INTERN...onnectors_RL&hash=item19c7a47d23#ht_500wt_922

Any ideas? Do I need a dif cable? is it just not poss?
Thanks in advance.

Yup the connector is 4 pin. 2 on the left are wired, next over is blocked and 1 on the right is empty. I assume I need to somehow get the 2 wires connected, correct? So would chopping off the blocked and blank pin work?

Alternatively if anyone has a spare 2 pin SPDIF connector, I'll throw you a couple of £s to pop it in the post? :)

Thank you! that article looks v.helpful and the pic in it looks just like the slot on my mobo. Think I may have sourced a 2 pin connector from eBay.
