Hi guys, has anyone had a SLI motherboard that after working fine for a couple of months all of a sudden started not to recognise the second gfx card.

My Epox (in sig) has just started doing this. There is nothing wrong with the cards as they both work fine when only one is in. It started over the weekend and i got this message pop up from the Nvidia icon in the taskbar, your system is not configured for SLI, this system will restart in 15 seconds. It then counts down and reboots and disables SLI. In task manager the second card is listed as not being able to start, Fault code 10. It's always the bottom card no matter which one i put in that slot. Before today i could sort of get around it by shutting down checking the cards were seated correctly, the power plugs attached properly and the SLI bridge in place correctly and on starting up would get the enable SLI message. Not now though. I can't get SLI to work at all.

As it's always the card in the lower slot i was wondering if it was possible for a pci-e slot to fail while the primary was still ok. I emailed Epox about it but they have'nt got back to me yet and i emailed the place where i got it from to see if they know what could be wrong. Whatever it is it does'nt look good.

I have the spec in my siggy plus the Hiper Type R 580w modular psu, 2x 160gb Dmax 10's in raid 0, windows XP Home sp2 build 2600 with all updates, 81.98 display drivers and the latest bios and drivers for my mobo.

Any ideas what could be wrong before i RMA the board?

Many thanks in advance.
