Hi there,

Recently completed my new build, but having some issues trying ti get my Crossfire setup to run.

I've got 2x 7970, but they won't run properly. Here's the problem:

The Motherboard doesn't seem to recognize the PCI-e 3.0/2.0 slots. One 16x slot and 8x slot (or 2 16x, not sure) either way both slots support the graphics cards.

I go into the Bios and the only slot out of all 4 total slots in recognizes is the Black x4 slot, it's the only one displayed in the bios.

I managed to get one of the cards installed in the x16 slot, but it has many errors and doesn't perform properly. It's not the cards, as I've tested them on a different motherboard.

Doing some research, I'm missing drivers for the "pci simple communications controller and think this is the problem, as the slots appears to work, but won't operate correctly. I can't find a download for this driver though, also the intel chipset drivers won't install correctly, when I try to run them I get the error either "not compatible with your version of windows" or "This computer isn't good enough to run these drivers" not the exact words, but similar.

Is this the issue? There's no hardware errors on the slots are far as I'm aware, no red LED's and what not.

My motherboard is Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN 3

Any help appreciated.
