motherboard not saving bios settings

my motherboard wont save bios settings when its lost power from the wall?

ive tried replacing the batter but it still does it. any help?

motherboard is

Asus M4A78L-M LE AMD 760G (Socket AM3/AM2+) DDR2 microATX Motherboard

Could try the board external to the case, to rule out any shorting on the case it's self.

Is there a BIOS update, other than that a email to Asus may be needed as there could be a fault with the board.

where would i get a bios update from? :X i looked on the asus website and couldnt find anything :S

Go to the link below (double check I have the correct board linked) click the download tab and choose the operating system you are using and go to the BIOS / BIOS history.

my board does the same, i replaced battery and nothing happened. got latest bios update as well. my board isfaulty and outside warranty, so just got to wait until i upgrade but won't be anytime soon. make sure to get it replaced or fixed if it is within warranty.
