My mate is having problem with his PC and using my account to post here

-----------------------------------------------
I'm having problem with my new PC:

Mobo is an Asus P5B Deluxe, everything working fine for about 3 months, overclocks well etc etc, recent thunderstorms in Doncaster, pc went BANG & it's never been the same again.

Pc would not come on for several hours after the thunderstorm, turned itself off within seconds, did get an error on my bios post screen saying "overclocking failed" which i've never seen before & I was running at 3.2ghz for 3 months with no problems. Then i reset the mobo and managed to get it boot up to XP but...........

I get "usb device not recognised" all the time, no matter what we do. Have reinstalled xp, no joy. Installed drivers, no joy, tried several different usb equipment in each of my 6 usb slots, no joy.

Then my mate Wesley tried his usb mouse where the light on the mouse comes on his laptop but will not come on on my PC therefore no power came throu the USB mouse.

The question is, is the motherboard or PSU faulty? or both?

rest of my pc spec is:

E4300 1.8ghz
2GB Geil DDR2
Asus P5B Deluxe
INNO3D GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB DDR3
1X 250GB SATA hard drive
OCZ GameXStream 600w Silent SLI
