Motherboard Postage Question

I've got to send a motherboard back so what's the cheapest way to send it? The parcel weighs 2.2kg (H-34 W-35 D-25cm) and just a quick look on the PO site shows a price of £8.99. Is there anything cheaper and reliable than this? The board itself is worth £100 so I know I'm probably going to have to pay a bit extra for compensation.

Being worth £100 you're going to need Recorded or Special Delivery. £8.99 is not that much to be honest. Though I remember sending a 2KG parcel for less via Recorded Delivery last year. Perhaps prices have gone up a bit.

Special Delivery Next Day is good and has compensation for up to £500 (basic) and will deliver by 13:00 the next day plus you can track it:

SD will be about £20 for 2.2Kg.
