I'm just looking at a pc for someone in my office and it has a weird problem with the motherboard.
He connected everything up and all worked fine. Switched it off and booted it again but it failed. Looking at it now, there is power and the CPU fan is permanently on, although the power supply isn't. The main switch isn't doing anything but as soon as the power lead is connected, the CPU fan spins, until you pull the flex out.
Very bizarre, not sure if anyone has any suggestions or seen this before?
