Hi all.I'm currently building another gaming pc and I have a question. Here goes

I have chosen a GigaByte X48-DS5 and I read some reviews and some costumers also told me that they have major problems when trying to overclock the processor and also when running the RAM in Dual-Channel.Since I already bought the motherboard and the RAM I wonder if I will have any problems because I have not tested the mobo because I'm still waiting for the other parts. Here are the other parts if will help you determine if I will have compatibility issues.

RAM:OCZ Platinum Revision 2 XTC 2GB(2x1GB)
Vid Card:XFX ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB
Processor:Intel Quad Core Q8200.
I wan't to know if I made a wise choise or should I replace it (if it's possible).

Cheers.:)

THX for your quick answer.:D I just wanted to be sure that I have no problems with it.When I've seen what the reviewers were saying I was getting really worried....but you chilled me down:D:p So no need for bios updates either?

Everything should work together nicely right out the box. Sometimes people are unlucky and get a piece of faulty hardware which happens to us all sometimes but just keep an optimistic outlook and stay calm! :D

You may wanna consider a 4GB (2x2GB) set of ram in case 2GB(2x1GB) isn't enough for your needs. Most games will run fine with 2GB of memory but 4GB does help a lot in some situations and because the price is good atm could be a good investment.

Two gaming PC's . . . lucky you!

Yeah....I will go for 4GB but right now I have only 390 pounds left to buy the other parts and if I choose another 2GB Kit I will go over the budget:p And besides I will need an extra of 30 pounds and that means another week of work.:p I'm 17 only:p

if your planning on playing at 22inch res (1680x1050) i run at 1.4-1.6gb on average with some windows open. so if you can get another gig in the machine then ul be safe socks.
other than that gr8 build should have no probs.

I will put another 2GBs but not right now.And I only have a 17" monitor for this one....and besides 1280x1024 is enough for my little brother:p It's his birthday and I will give this rig to him as a birthday present:D
