Motherboard ram compatibility

In process of building a new rig and need to purchase my ram but wanted to ask someone to recommend some 4gb ram for my Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 Motherboard (AMD 970, SB950, DDR3, S-ATA 600, ATX, 2 x eS-ATA, 2 x USB 3.0, Socket AM3+). I'm looking at a single stick of 4gb so I can add another 4gb later on down the line.
