I had an asus a8n sli deluxe working perfectly with 4 sticks of giel value ram. Turned pc on onetime and wouldnt post. RAM error, slots one and two had died, RMA the motherboard (costly) waiting a few weeks without a decent pc and ordered an asus a8n sli SE.
It arrived today, Got back from college plugged everything in booted up and..
beep beep beep, ram error. Slots one and two have "DIED". might be my ram, but, i've been running all sticks in 3 and 4 dimm slots and no errors, boots up perfectly. Used the ram/tested it in my other pc, all is fine. SO WHY THE HELL WONT IT WORK?
any of the 4 sticks of ram wont boot singluar in slot one or two, no other combinations boot, apart from 3 /4 3 and 4.
" weeks lost and 10quid down to realise my motherboard was fine and now i have some replacement lower model that doesnt work properly either.
Any help? PLEASE?
