Turn on legacy usb support in the bios I think is the way, I had this problem recently, I wanted to boot in safe mode but I couldn't press the 4 key to select safe mode.... Was annoying

Thanks but it wont see the keyboard so i cant boot into anything

Oh i Just read i can click on ease of access and bring up a virtual keyboard ;) i will try this later and i hope it works

Idk what to suggest, other than borrow another kb

Then once in bios do what illuminist said, youve tried each and every usb port on the mb?

Seemslike bios incompatibility with your kb,might work if you could update latest bios

Thanks i got a cheap wired keyboard but it was a fail in the end  rma time (the last thing i need at this time of year lol)

I have read that some mobos are picky with USB keyboards
Have you tried the KB in ALL slots?
Thanks the wired keyboard works ok but on the dektop it just vanishes for a few seconds and come back with a crackling sound
it looks like a graphics fault but the card is a vega 56 which was working perfectly rma time and a wate of:confused: a weekend
