I have an Asrock Z68 Extreme 4 Gen 3 board and the primary PCI-E I have my GFX card plugged into appears to have died and I've started using the 2ndary PCI-E which is also meant to be X8.. In BF4 beta auto settings had a mix of ultra and High settings.. but this morning when I played the full game auto only pulled up high settings… When I did the ingame test it came up with BAD framerate and suggested lowering the settings but it seemed ok in a 32 player obliteration game.. Do you think this is due to me having to use the 2ndary PCI E port ??
Wondering whether I should just bite the bullet get a new board and a new CPU ???
Would there be a big increase in performance on the gfx card as it would open up x16 instead of the x8?
