How long do Motherboard RMA's normally take? I recently sent my Gigabyte Motherboard back to OcUK to be replaced, but have been informed they have to send it back to Gigabyte after they perform tests, so how long does this whole process take?

Would this Motherboard take an AMD Athlon 5600+ Brisbane, 2GB Corsair RAM a HD 4850 and a TX650W Corsair PSU without problems?

Yes, I absolutely need a PC for the time being.

According to this link on the Foxconn website the motherboard does support AMD Athlon 64 x 2 processors.

If you're still uncertain ring the overclockers sale line to make your order as they will be able to confirm it for you.

Do you know if it will support my CPU out of the box?

Also, I'm not too sure if it supports my RAM or not, I tried looking at the supported Memory list, I don't think it has my RAM listed but it seems it has similar RAM listed.

Will it also take my graphics card fine without problems too? (HD 4850)

The cheap price of the Motherboard must be making me cautious.

This is my RAM: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-108-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813

It lists your type of memroy as compatible - corsair is a good make so it stands a good chance of running. (But memory is a strange beast - so it's not always guaranteed.)

It should take your gfx card without any problems as PCI-e 2.0 is backward compatible with PCI-e 1.x slots. (but again i would always get confirmation when you have doubts)

It is a cheap mobo and if it's just to keep you going until your other mobo returns - it's probaby worth the risk if you really need a computer in the interim.

Ring overclockers tomorrow and they should be able to alleviate all your concerns about compatibilty - good luck.

ATIorNvidia, I've edited my last post in response to your memory edit.

You should have all the info you need now - but i would follow my advice at the end of my post for your peace of mind.

Could always give them a ring or email them, you should get it back within a week but chase them up.

Received my Motherboard back today, abit dissapointed though as it was sent on the 6th of May.

Anyway, I've been sent a brand spanking new MA770-UD3 (old Board was the MA770-DS3) so it's a free upgrade i guess.

Thanks OcUK, and thanks to the repliers.

Blimey 7 weeks! I would have been chasing it up after a week! :)

Makes me wonder how long OcUK take to get around to testing it, also how long they get around to posting to Gigabyte, who really knows for sure . . .

Think if my motherboard ever goes wrong I'll send direct to Gigabyte & pay £10 admin fee.

If it's within 28 days of purchase then I think OcUK will have to replace it, someone else should be able to clarify this.

If the mobo was only a week old - you're entitled to a refund - if it's proved to be at fault course.

I always choose a refund so i can get a replacement while i wait. You just have to be very confident that the component your rma'ing is definitely at fault - otherwise it's a risk.

7 weeks is far from acceptable tbh.
SoGa would require that a repair/replace under warranty should be done within an acceptable amount of time due to quality issues, obviously this is far from acceptable.
