I'm having to send back my Z97 Gryphon motherboard for an RMA, as it won't post, but I can not for the life of me find the socket cover, it looks like my OH, has thrown it out, she is currently up to her arm pits in rubbish going through the bags to find it, but it isn't looking good, so can any one point me towards where I might be able to find one, I have found them on the Bay, but they're in the states, and delivery time is about 2 - 3 weeks, I don't really want to wait that long unless I really have to.

better still if someone has got one I'm willing to pay whatever is reasonable for it, cheers guys.

plenty on auction site

if you cant get one tape a thick piece of card ontop of the retention bracket that lifts up

The only ones on the bay are from the states and will take up to 2 weeks to arrive.

A piece of thick card will be OK will it ? I thought they were quite strict when it came to that.

should be ok,it is asus though and they can be a pain

see what happens

thick card cut to shape taped ontop of the retensioner so it doesn't touch/damage the cpu socket pins underneath

Are theese board specific? Got a couple spare here but they look slightly different to the one for my board in sig. Ill upload a pic of em in a bit. If theyre of any use your welcome to them.

One is skt 1366 so i guess thats no use. No skt description on the other.
