Motherboard stand-offs lian li pc71

Hi

bit of a stupid one this. Got this case second hand and have these tall stand offs that I presume you screw the brass stand off bits into. Done this and fitted them into correct holes in the case but it all seems too high; the m/board is too high for the motherboard face-plate.

Please could someone tell me the correct way to do this - and also whether this is earthing the board or do i need to be doing something else for that?

Help much appreciated.

The standoffs are used on quite a few cases, just on its own is fine and it serves exactly the same purpose as the brass ones, just is a more classy way of doing it back then :p
 
Many thanks for replies and help. Am slightly worried about relying on those two pronged stand-offs thingies though as a few seem a bit loose - is there anywhere (cheap) I could get a few better ones?
