Hi, I recently installed a Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H Motherboard, everything was working correctly then when I restarted my pc, the monitors never came back on, everything is running apart from the monitors, can anyone helpme out please:(?

My specs are currently:
Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz
2Gb Kingston Ram (2x1Gb) - Kingston 9905399-003A00LF 1GB DIMM DDR2 PC2-4300U DDR2-534 (4-4-4-12 2-16-4-2)
Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H Motherboard
Nvidia Geforce 7600GS 512MB

I have tried with both my onboard graphics card/motherboard outputs and my graphics card but still the same thing.

Thanks

I've seen things like this before, since I'm an IT techie.

What it may be is the cable. Are you using a DVI adapter with a VGA cable, or a direct DVI cable?

If you've got a DVI cable, with no adapter, then you may need to change the cable. Some cards don't like DVI-I if its a DVI-D card, and vice versa. If you can, try a VGA cable with a DVI adapter.

Only other thing I can think of right now, is to try the other DVI port on your graphics card. It may be defaulting to the other one as the startup display. My PC only boots with one monitor, while I have 2 plugged in.

Let us know how you get on.

So far I am using 2 monitors, one connected via DVI to HDMI and the other is VGA to VGA, I have tried both monitors seperatly on the motherboard outputs without the graphics card connected, and still nothing shown, the DVI to HDMI monitor when switched on produces long continuous beeps and no display, when the VGA to VGA monitor is connected it produces no beep and no display

I also did the same using the graphics card outputs, both did not show up and produced no beeps.

what could it be :S

ok, I just removed one of my RAM sticks and it worked, it was a memory problem, ill try both now.

what a noob ey.

EDIT: just put in the second RAM stick and all is working, thanks SMandy.
