Hey guys, im currently using a custom water cooled pc, the water cooling has only been going for about 1month.

I want to switch my motherboard AND processor over for another 1, however i dont want to take apart my watercooling, will the switch be like swapping a motherboard with lets say, a corsair watercooler closed loop? Or is there a risk of water leaking out? As far as i can think, i cant cause any damage :/

Cheers;)

Shouldn't be an issue. I unseat the CPU block to drain my system so if the loop is still closed as long as you have enough movement to get the board out should be fine.

I have never drained the loop to do a mobo/cpu change. Just dismount the blocks and swing them up out of the way and replace the board as normal. Never had a leak doing it this way.

As abOve, unmount block, cable tie it out of the way, replace mobo, refit.

Gpu, if underwater might be a pain to locate whilst doing the swap as you don't want to hang that weight off the fittings.

Also is it going to be the same fitting before and after the swap? If you need to change the block hardware then it's a full drain usually.
