Hey guys, Iv spoken to a few people about selling my gear for a upgrade which includes selling my CPU, RAM and MOBO.

Think I can get this for my current parts;

Motherboard - £80
Ram - £100
CPU - £350

and then I'd like

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit

but when it comes to which motherboard I get stuck, I'd like a SLI board which overclockers well and has a large space between the two PCI-E slots for the dual slot GPU coolers these days. Is it possible to get all this from one motherboard?

Cheers

Nvidia won't release SLi drivers for any of the boards for Conroe currently on the market. They want you to buy their new nForce 5 chipset when it comes out in a month or so.

Yup and I'm thinking about getting one of these as well... will wait though untill the are established :)

I don’t mind waiting, im just worried about the value of my current spec going lower and lower, and in the end I won’t be able to afford what it is im after.

Edit: So say I stick to one GFX and dont need SLI, what are the best boards out there for overclocking right now?

Thank you - Mark

How urgent is it? nForce5 boards in August...
Do you know where more info is on this as I can't find anything solid as to a Intel/NF5 roadmap?

You reckon youll get £350 for a 4800+ ??

They are £290 brand new retail! good luck to you if you can though. ;)

should read right...

Intel bad axe or the gigabyte DS4

TBH i'm yet to see any serious overclockers having a good hammering at the DS4, but the DS3 has been doing very well, so it should stand to reason that the DS4 with its extra heatsinks should do as well if not better as its little brother.
