Motherboard with 20 pin PSU connector?

I'm building a gaming PC for a friend who had been given a case and PSU with the older 20 pin connector for the motherboard. He was looking at getting the Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-111-AS) which we've discovered has the newer 24 pin connector. Is there anyway around this problem, like an adapter or something?

Or can anyone recommend a good motherboard that would support the 20 pin connector. He's trying to cut down on costs so doesn't really want to fork out on a replacement for a brand new PSU.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can get an adaptor to convert 20 pins to 24 pins. Costs about £3 Cant seem to find it on the site though. 20 to 24pin Power Supply Converter. Google it.

You can still use the 20pin connector in the 24pin slot, i am and so far its working fine (touch wood).

I bought one of those 24 pin adapters, should have saved a couple of quid as i discovered you can just use your 20 pin fine.

I had it plugged in on only 20 pin and it ran fine, I ordered a converter just to be on the safe side though.

you can buy an AsRock dual SATA2 for less than £50. There are lots of reviews recommending the board in the internet. I got one with an opteron running at 2600 Mhz from minute 5 after building the pc (my first A64).
