Motherboard with External Sensor Output

Can anyone recommend a motherboard manufacturer that makes boards with the ability to hook up external readers for the sensors (fan, heat, etc)?

I know I could probably do this via USB, but that would be only once software is loaded, I'm looking for a way to read these sensors on an external device (that I will build) from the moment the power is switched on, just like the BIOS does.

I've not decided the rest of the spec of the PC I'm building yet as this will all be dependent on the availability of a mother board to meet my needs.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,

sweet, that sounds like exactly what I need. I'll go look it up now.

update Hmm, certainly good as I can use the uGuru motherboards with my current hardware just what I need right now; I can't seem to see any of the newer motherboards with it though.

Thanks Buff! I searched on abit's site for guru and the compatible shown for the guru panel obviously hasn't been updated. Search results only gave me the panel, two clocks and a few graphics cards.

well I don't need the additional software to begin with, as long as I can get hardware feeds that's good for me.
