Motherboard with missing pin

I bought a Asus Strix Z370-E on ebay a little while ago for a good price as it had a missing pin. From looking at a schematic of the socket before I bid I identified it as a VSS voltage pin so decided to take a punt on it as no-one else was bidding. I have been using it and all seems fine, I am just curious as to what, if any, underlying problems you could expect with a board with a single voltage pin missing.

I've had a motherboard with 3 missing pins before and the Core2Duo CPU worked fine.Can be a bit of a lottery but sometimes its not as bad as feared.

Thanks bud, that's actually really interesting. If I had even the slightest doubt before I have ZERO now. Looks like I got a bargain, only paid £80 delivered for it, they normally go for £140 ish second hand.
