Motherboard with wireless?

My computer has died so i'm looking for components to build a new one. My old system was a core 2 duo on a Asus DH Deluxe motherboard. The thing with that motherboard is that it had wireless built in and came with an aerial that sat on top of the case.

Due to the location of the computer I can only connect to my route via wifi so i'm looking at what my options are for this new system. Am I best purchasing another mb with built in wireless, if so does anyone have recommendations as there doesn't seem to be too many around? I will most likely be buying some kind of Intel i7 cpu.

Is there a better alternative to this? What about some kind of PCI wirless card, are these any good? If I was to consider something else it'd have to be reliable, I had no wireless problems with my old setup.

Thanks

Thanks a lot for the link varkanoid. Looks like it's a 5 star from everyone who's reviewed it.
If I get this I won't be restricted on which mb I get.

I bought it to troubleshoot my wireless connection and it is amazing how many SSID's nearby it picked up.

Had a bit of trouble as it stopped working. Found out my 1 year old kept unplug it and walking off with it and hiding it.

could you not use powerline adapters?

My little brother used to do the same. The washing basket was always a favourite place for remotes etc.

Powerline adapters are ok, even the basic ones are 85 Mbit/s which is more than enough for internet and 200 Mbit/s are quite affordable nowadays. In my experience I'd say powerline generally has less connection issues and security than wireless, in most cases it's down to the wiring in your house and trying to get a "clean" socket, i.e. not one on a power strip.
