Hey guys,

So I'm at the point of deciding what to buy, and I was wondering whether I've gotten the right end of the stick.

I guess that Z77 would be the best choice because it offers PCI-E 3.0 across all expansion slots - meaning as more as more PCI-E 3.0 GPU's come out, the more likely the board is going to stand with it's increased bandwidth (better performance).

But I'm not sure on which board to pick.

We've got the Gigabyte Z77-D3H and the MSI Z77A-G43 which are priced at a similar fashion.

Will these boards support full Crossfire with my 6950, when the time?

I know that they'll support SATAIII which enables me to put an SSD in it when the time comes.

Or have I picked the wrong motherboards completely?

Thanks.

I would avoid x16 x4 crossfire setups, I've had no end of problems with amd 6 and 7 series cards on that config. x16 x8 would be much better and x16 x16 perfect. If you're definitely going with crossfire then google "crossfire x16 x4 problems" before buying a x16 x4 board !
