Just sent my TFT back to the manufaturer under warranty because of excessive light/colour bleed. That has meant I've gone back to CRT for a bit.
Not a fault but one thing I have noticed playing the new tombraider (demo) is that the water running down the hills is extremely clear and full of detail with CRT whereas my Acer AL1916w seems to show it as a grey'ish blue sheet running down the hill. Looks kinda naff basically.
Theres a lot to like about TFT's but that has put me off them slightly especially as 8ms response time is pretty resonable. Thinking of going back to CRT permantly for games and maybe the TFT for general desktop 2d app's etc.
First TFT experience has left me 60% impressed 40% wishing I'd not bothered.
