Does anybody else suffer from this whilst playing computer games? I usually get it when playing FPS games, but i've noticed that GOW and GRAW effect me too.

Can be quite depressing at times :(

I thought about taking a seasickness tablet before hand to see if that helps, but havn't got round to it yet.

I got this very very badly for years. Had to stop all 3d platformers and FPS.

Found out it was CRT and refresh rate.

LCD TFT cured it. Also getting higher refresh rate CRT helped.

Doping up just to play games eh? Hardcore :p I used to feel iffy once in a while when playing too much Turok on N64. The fluidity of Ecco the Dolphin on Dreamcast made me feel sick after a few minutes. Haven't had a problem since though. I know some people feel sick when its not them controlling the action on screen. Something to do with not feeling immersed or in sync with what happens on screen. Stuff like head bobbing can make it worse.

half life 2 on the pc made me feel queasy. and final doom on the playstation. other than that i can play FPS's for hours on PC or console.
Same here for HL2... otherwise I can (and do) go for hours playing Call of Duty, CS, BF2, etc... and not feel anything untoward.

Can try it on my TV/Monitor if you want see if its down to ya TV for the reason above ^^ :)

sure :D

It's really not fair considering I only have 4 games for the 360, 2 of which make me feel ill after playin for more than 10 minutes. :(

The only time I get this is after playing for several hours or playing split-screen GOW. Seeing the top screen in the corner of my eye turning separately to the bottom one really churns my stomach.

Generally fine with moving things in games but I don't like the flashing lights in games (or in fact in general)...Have to close my eyes and look away when those strobes come on :(

What happens if you don't look away?

Ever had it checked out by a pro?

HL2 was the game I had most problems with recently couldnt play anymore than 20mins without wanting too throw up, but a lot of Fps im fine with not found anything on the xbox that makes me fell like that yet.

A lot of people say this about HL2. A lot of people also say that changing the viewing angle fixes it. Worth a shot.

This has nothing to do with refresh rate but when roadie running in GoW I go dizzy :p

Viewbob is another common cause. If it can be switched off it's worth a try. Notice how the view really does bob quite violently in GOW when you run!

A guy I work with gets really motion sick on most modern 3D games. He could handle UT fine, but when we moved on to UT2K4 he could only play for about 3 mins. Poor bugger.

I've been fine with every game I've ever played, although the newer Need For Speed (since Underground) have made my eyes water on drift races - I don't think I blink! :D
