I’ve noticed while playing Assetto Corsa in VR that I’m getting motion sickness. Good tip for this is to take some kwells tablets before your VR session. See here…

I admire the OP's dedication, in a way, but if I had to take big pharma medication to play a video game, I'd have to question my life choices somewhat.

Apparently you can overcome it in time, it’s called getting your VR legs.

Well I took a 300 microgram kwells tablet at 15:30 this afternoon then loaded up Assetto Corsa at 16:00 with my VR headset on, played for about 30 minutes and I have to say that I didn’t feel nauseous. Felt a bit warm but I’ll put a fan on next time.

Have you tried locking the view to the horizon.

No but taking a 300 microgram kwells tablet has sorted it. An adult can take up to three of them a day, once every six hours. I searched the forum and they’ve been mentioned before. Once in regard to karting and the other where someone was having nausea when sitting down whilst using VR but not while standing.

They are harmless, my doctor prescribes them for the side effects of some other medicine I take. Namely hyper salivation whilst sleeping. I’m supposed to take two every night before bed. They don’t really work for the intended purpose so I might as well use them for motion sickness.

Under is it safe to take for a long time it says…

“Hyoscine hydrobromide is unlikely to do you any harm when you take it for a long time, as long as you take the recommended dose and the side effects do not bother you.”

I guess that’s why my doctor is/was happy to prescribe it twice daily at bedtime.

Yeah if you wanted to go down the kwells route they are £4.05 for a pack of 12 at boots online. Might be cheaper to get a prescription depending on how much you pay for one. There are other options of course such as patches and the like.

Well I’ve used Steam VR for 58 hours now and feeling sick is not something I consciously think about anymore. I don’t know if this means of got my VR legs or not but I don’t take kwells anymore.

I'd say you finally got your VR legs then yes, takes longer for some than others. Congratulations!

To be fair I’ve been feeling ok for sometime now, certainly don’t remember feeling sick since buying Assetto Corsa Rally on the 25/06/26. But even prior to that whilst playing Assetto Corsa EVO I was feeling ok.
