well, i tried everything, now unless its just a warmup lap i dont know!, seem to be going only 60-80kmh ......along with everyone else, no matter if its quick race or career, now obviously i havnt done a full lap of this speed, but is it a warmup lap or something, the crowd seem to be going pretty mental for a warmup lap!

Ok, not a warmup lap, ive tried every difficulty level, every simulation type or whatever they are, and all i can get is max 80kmh, and so does every other rider, sooo strange ?

Have you got manual transmition on? Maybe your going round in 1st gear? :P

nope i tried in moto gp class and 125cc class, i tried automatic and manual, and i can clearlly see the gears changing, as i said everyone else is also going 80kmh! and im beating them still!, is there a chance i have a mega dogey copy of the game ? and for some reason thats the maximum speed ?
this is so annoying, i want to burn people away!! cant do that at 80kmh!

You havent been modifying the bikes have you? would seem strange that its doing it as a default though :/
I dont have 08 yet but know in other games you can modify the gear ratios and stuff.
 
annoying now :( every bugga is doing 80kph still, no matter what ratios i change, and yeh it is retail, even in automatic, it stays in first gear, along with every other rider

I installed it today, only played for maybe 2mins before having to head off for work, and i couldn't work out a way to make the bike move out of first gear.... Only tried this on my 2nd test pc which is keyboard only

Tonight i will try on my main pc, with a 360 controller and i'll let you know how i get on.

was everyone else going in first gear ? :p like mine, my word this is the first time i ever seen this happen, nothing on the internet at all, any chance this could be something to do with XP ? hmm, maybe run it on one core ?, how do i do that again.

edit: nope 1 core doesnt do much.

OK finally managed to spend some time on this.. Loaded it on my main pc (specs in sig) and unfortunately I'm dissapointed with the game's engine. Firstly in reply to the original OP question. This game does run at normal bike speed, though it didn't on my other rig, dunno why on the other XP SP3 rig and if i'm honest i'm not going to bother working out why. The problem is it doesn't run as smooth as it should. With AA on it judders at around 20fps and this is on my Q6600, 4860 machine. Without it, it sort of runs most of the time at 60fps but drops in some corners and when other bikes are on the screen. A little like MotoGP7 (THQ offering) on the 360, if anyone is a fan of the motogp series. On a pc i expect this to be perfect, considering MotoGP 3 from THQ 4 yrs ago managed to do so, without any lesser graphics. This is a clear port from a console, and suffers from all the typical console ports quirks.... If you are not a frame rate whore, you could probably get into the game.. I'm a huge fan of the sport and will struggle myself. I'd give this game 6/10....
