Hi,
I'm having some trouble choosing between these two phones. I am trying out a V3x at the moment, after owning a K750i for around a year now. But I'm not sure about the V3x? It seems quite large, heavy and the UI seems slow and awkward. I get a lot of delay when writing a message and the phone is very large when opened. Also when i'm writing a message or using the keys the phone seems to creak a lot?

Now my Sony is excellent to use but i'm just not sure? If anyone has either the V3x or W810i would you be able to help me?

Cheers!

I'd go for the the W810i unless you really need the features 3g offers. I've not been impressed with the V3x really, it's ok, but you can tell it's motorola's first attempt at mixing the razr concept with 3g....

Yeh 3G does not interest me at all. I do not need any of it's functions and am not interested in it in the least. I presume the 3G technology is what makes the phone as bulky as it is.

If you're not interested in the 3G features, definitely go with the w810i, much nicer phone imo. :)

How are you finding the navigation on the W810 without the control stick?

was wondering this - as this seems to be the main flaw with k750/w800 I guess.

Been lucky myself with them both - guess it depends how it is in your pocket.

- and what memory card comes with the 810i
(sorry to jump in...)

Sounds weird but I didn't notice any difference really :o Nice and intuitive at least.

It uses a sony memory stick pro like the k750i and w800i use. Comes with a 512mb one.

Sounds good to me. I've just watched a video review of the SE W810 and it looks like a very good looking phone and has all the features i need without any of the 3G rubbish for now! Excellent, now just have to wait until it comes back into stock :-S

Phone up telesales, they have them in stock ready to be dispatched but was told that they wern't going on the website till 7th May as thats when it'll support the web and walk function. You'll still get the 25% off over the phone aswell so don't miss out :)

Yeah I heard they had them if you phone... but now dunnno whether to see how much an N80 would be .... a mate is getting me the friends and family discount (50% off) so Im not bothered about the 25% offer.... wait for a phone.. and then another is `just a month` away... always like that !

My sister has had the V3x since December, as have about 4 friends of mine. All of them have mediocre battery life despite not using the phone heavily. It seems to be a common complaint of the phone across all of the networks. My sister has to charge hers twice a day and she doesn't use Bluetooth!

I've had the K750 since last June and have been more than impressed with the battery life and features. I'd definitely recommend the W810 :)

w810i brilliant phone has everything you need except 3g, and the joypad is so intuitive, and so much more robust than the stick of the 800/750.
