Moto V8 Generic Firmware?

hi guys,

i have got a motorola v8 on orange, but the stupid orange bar down the left of the screen is aweful! - i used to have (on previous motos) down for contacts, left for message, right for calc etc... now these buttons have been disabled and do nothing! you have to use the incredibly un-userfriendly orange bar so i want to use the proper moto firmware...

this possible? anyone know where to get it and if you can even do it?

really cracking phone, well built, aesthetially beautiful and now, superb to use - motorola have changed bigtime, i used to hate the old razors but this new stuff built on the linux/java plattform is the dogs
