Lorenzo has signed (2?) years I think, they said at one point during Sachsenring Spies was talking and close to a deal with Yamaha though they didn't state the factory team, so who knows?

I haven't heard much about the Ducati guys, Rossi has hinted at staying there but I've heard nothing about Hayden.
 
I think they'll give Spies's seat to Rossi if he agrees to leave Ducati. Cal taking his seat.

I agree though, he'd be best off sticking on the tech 3.. But as Shaken said next yr, it won't be as good of a bike.. But surely better than the Duc.. IMHO. If Burgess and Rossi couldn't fix it, then no-one can.

I agree, no matter what Rossi suggests/does that bike just isn't working. I hope he does move away. I want to see Rossi win another GP before he retires/gets too old.

I don't think Cal has any other option left apart from Ducati. Better for him if Rossi's there as well.
I don't think he'll get the same results as with the T3 team but being close too or even beating Rossi could elevate his status.

Rossi has supposedly met with Audi about their Moto GP plans. He's probably staying.

I'm not sure I see spies staying since Cal's been a lot better than him this year, so maybe a swap Cal for Spies?

Rossi has met with Audio top brass and apparently likes their plans to return Ducati to the top, so probably means he'll stay for another 2 years or more...

Hayden has been very quiet, maybe a change of series?

I just can't really understand what Spies does to qualify for that second factory seat...its not even likes he's bought a big money sponsor with him...

Exactly my point, when you have Cal getting front row starts and have blinding races on a "customer" bike is a testament to his ability and he deserves the factory seat more than Spies does...

It's probably more to do with marketing.
Sadly, Cal's talent alone isn't good enough for a factory Yam.

Going to embarrassing for T3/Yam if Smith does nothing on it next year.

Fingers crossed though...i can't see Dovi at Tech 3 next year...if he doesn't get Bens Pies seat next year something is wrong. Should Cal just not worry about the money and sign with Tech 3 again rather than think about a factory Duke ride which it would seem is also going west unless they sack Nicky...

he was world superbike champ and has won a motogp race
sadly this year he hasn't clicked with the new 1000cc bike yet

to be honest dovi doesn't have anywhere to go but stay at tech3, Yamaha have already said there ready to resign spies..
its not about the money for cal he wants a works bike.
the problem with staying with tech3 is he will not get a 2013 bike he will have this years work yamaha in the spec it finishes this year in, just like he did in the 800cc year.
the main reason for this years good show by tech 3 is the new 1000cc rule change meant everyone had to have new bikes, so at the begaining of this year tech3's bike was the same as the full works bike, as the year goes on the works team get updates so slowly start to change.. come next year tech 3 will be a year behind again as in the 800cc years
