Stopped watching Moto GP when Rossi had that injury in 2010 i knew he wouldn't win with Ducatti but didn't expect it to be thst bad, i might start watching it again Rossi 46.

I have been watching it since mid 70's and have never thought of doing that,
what happens when your fav rider retires do you stop watching, no you find someone else to follow

I'm not going to pretend I'm a huge MotoGP fan, and I'm certainly not a fan of a single rider (though I did find myself rooting for Rossi on the Ducati - British love of the underdog I guess), but I think the sport lost a lot of its romance in the past couple of years. We lost one character in Simoncelli, another was mired on a very midfield bike and Stoner was clearly getting more and more disillusioned. Added to that we had two fairly plain (in terms of style) guys winning and I just lost the desire to watch as regularly as I was.
I hope Rossi can take it to Lorenzo this year (now that it's Lorenzo's team rather than Lorenzo joining Rossi's team) as we have the potential for more fireworks. Unlike some, I will miss Stoner's hustling, dogged, never-say-die attitude though. Hate to make the F1 comparison, but there was something very Mansell-like about him.

Seems like its going to be the usual 2-4 riders race off not the distance then eventually one of them, then another uses too much tyre then two will ride together for a few laps and one of them will move ahead by a few seconds.

motogp and the older 500gp has always been the select few at the front, has been like that since I have been watching from mid 70's and if you look at moto 2/3 the same ones do all the winning, yes the race are more manic to the flag but its more than not it will be 1 of the top 4-5 riders that win.
