Well that was an interesting weekend. I was expecting Marquez to do well but that was phenomenal. Daddy Marquez will be one very proud man

the scary thing is that he looked like he was cruising all weekend other than those cancelled/interrupted laps in quali .

Ai looked good on that aprilia . Must give Martin some hope just a shame he’s injured

Thinking of giving the season a miss. There won't be a title fight this year now that Marquez has jumped on the best bike. He will walk it. Martin is just not going to be competitive on the Aprilia, especially after not being able to even compete this first round. Nobody else has what it takes to compete reliably week in week out with Marquez, even Pecco imo. The last 4/5 seasons since COVID have been good as it's been mixed up, plus title fights down to the wire with Martin and Pecco. Now normal service has resumed with Marquez, I can see this being an absolute yawn fest so long as Marc doesn't grenade his body again in some unnecessary crash. Hopefully he does actually.

Marc Marquez looked unbeatable over the weekend. A very ominous start to the season.

I'm sure it'll be MM93 winning the title but Pecco will give him a fight. Martin had no chance anyway, even if he wasn't having to miss the first 2 races.

Stay classy.

I do thoroughly enjoy the frothing that MM invokes. I'm not fussed either way, win, don't win, whatever. But the fact that pretty much every single MotoGP group I'm in is just a bunch of moaning old men crying about Marquez is hilarious.

The bloke's one of the most successful motorcycle racers of all time, and nobody is that successful without cracking a few eggs.

Marc is the Max Verstappen of MotoGP. I'm coming through or we crash. A traditionally dangerous rider, but not to the point of excitement, to the point of extremes and **** everyone else. Massively disrespected multiple riders including world champions along his way. Meddled with title fights he had no place in including trying to manipulate overall results. Uncharismatic and robotic in his interviews with his canned responses. Crazy die hard father fan who's always track side (just like Jos Verstappen). The likeness is uncanny! :)
Can you tell I'm not a fan? Clearly talented yes. Always has been. That's about the most I can positively say about him.

Crikey, you've managed to suck up every bit of anti-marquez nonsense in existence

You seen the time Rossi kicked him off his bike? Or was that a "racing incident"

Like I said before I'm not bothered, his racing style is extremely aggressive and he's one of the most famous and successful motorcycle racers as a result. He's not on the track to make friends, he's there to win. If that means his opponents suffer a bit, then so be it.

Yes I watched that race live @Diddums
Rossi should have kicked him harder. ;)

Anyway. 2025... do you really see value in watching? I feel like there are no "proper" rivals anymore. Even with Pecco and Martin, it was all very nicey, nicey wasn't it. Very respectful. I miss the days of hatred between riders as it added spice.

Other then TNT sports for £40 a month is there any way to watch the MotoGP races or be able to record them so that you dont have to wait for the highlights on Quest on a Monday night (that totally butchered the sprint btw). I miss the ITV4 highlights already! at least they gave reasonable coverage to the sprints that do genuinely have some good racing in still.

I've got a MotoGP video pass. It's not cheap, I think my renewal cost about €170.

Generally I watch the races on my TV through the Chromecast App but if I'm away from home the iPad app is what I use. If I'm not watching the races live then they're available to watch in their entirety about an hour after the broadcast has finished.

I paid for the MotoGP pass this year as the one TNT presenter is such a bell end, he winds me up no end with his incessant name dropping.

Cost us £175 for the year.

@Syla5 check your PMs.

I am not a Marquez fan, because I am a Rossi fan.

However, Marquez is a phenomenal rider, and I find myself begrudgingly in awe at his riding and racing prowess. I think we might be in store for another Marquez exhibition season, but I hope not.

I hope that a few riders can step up and scrap hard with him, forcing errors, which is probably the only way to beat him.

I'm also in a conundrum about how to watch this year, TNT sports is £30.99 a month, so the video pass is going to be cheaper at 199 euros, but then no Suzi Perry :(
