Supposed to be out today, anyone have any info, i cant seem to find any reviews.. Not sure if i should go with the PC, PS3 or 360 version.. well providing its not utter poop.

Guessing it will be the same as last years, which was pretty similar to the year before.

Capcom have only made one previous MotoGP game and that was for PS2 only.. There have been others MotoGP games, namely from Namco (PS2) and THQ (XBOX & X360) So this is a new engine that's been completely overhauled for the next gen consoles.. What no-one knows yet, is if its any good..

Ah, i just presumed it would be THQ updated version like the last two.

If its capcom it could be good.

Hopefully my copy will come tomorrow. They've got all 3 classes(125,250,800) in it this year and it looks like it will be pretty good. Should be pretty fun making my own persona and working my way up through the ranks.

I've been playing this for a good couple of hours and I've gotta say its definately better then most other motogp games I've played. I just couldnt enjoy motogp 07, but 08 has a much better handling model and the 125's are just awesome when your racing against 34 other bikes.

I'm using advanced handling, hard difficulty and I'm getting a good race.Coming 12 in my first race but 25 in my second (it was raining) , I'm going for a full race season so im doing the full race distances (18-25 laps). The AI is very good imo, if you pass someone then they will push on the next lap and go sightly faster to overtake you again and theres a lot of lunging on the inside from the AI , but thats what I'd expect in a 125cc race full of teenagers :P .

I'd definately recommend buying it. It feels a lot different from the motogp's before it, 08 feels more 'real' without having full-on simulation Physics/handling.

Yeah agree with you definitely feels like Moto GP of old its taken a notch down graphically from latest gen games but it runs smooth.

Im playing on Advanced and Hard aswell and also Champion level so still another step up if you require it. The AI is great pushes a lot some really good battles i had in 125cc so far in season on KTM. I noticed if you put Turning Speed and Gear right up in bike settings before qualifying or race its so much better.

Highest i come is 9th so far at Mugello and 12th at Donington i know these tracks off by heart just got to rev nuts off KTM to get good position. :D At the moment just a case of getting back into swing of things upgraded the bike accelaration and max speed by one notch hopefully get offers from other teams later on. :)

Wish was access to more data and statistics i would like to see lap times after race and telemetry in this aspect WSBK08 was far better. Also same thing as previous games end of race AI bump and crash into each other which makes it look silly thought they would fix it by now.

Apart from this im enjoying it so far just pulled 5th on Indianapolis really had to push the bike hard after qualifying on pole AI really challenging but was great battle.

What are the collisions like? I put hours into 06 and hated the way you could qualify in pole and then have someone whack you in the first corner and no matter how you touched you would end up last.

As Disco Stu said its more forgiving and in 07 and think was in 06 but cant remember if you got close to AI it kind of would suck you in and spit you off bike. I found that highly annoying you can now touch without falling off it seems to be the just the right mix you can high side etc to much throttle the usual stuff still in.

AI is quite dumb at times though will grind backwheel making you go straight on which is very annoying. But only noticed it on 125cc but i had only couple of quick races with bigger bikes and one left them for dead and other come 4th and didnt get any major shunting. As for the end up last thing i havnt noticed it i made big mistake and last but just off in gravel i only lost few places. Playing game more and i enjoy it but i think it could be far better then it is but got to remember its been built from ground up as new developers Milestone work on it now.

Also shame 2 player split screen been left out especially as its graphically inferior now so no reason why cant be in. They need to work hard for 09 for me i think career could be much more in depth then it is more statistics would be nice.

Graphics are much better the bikes look good and the auto detail thing in the THQ versions is gone (distant bikes were lower poly until closer to camera). The handling so far is very twitchy and I can't get a smooth corner yet. May need to adjust sensitivity on my 360 pad in settings. I don't like being forced to ride 125's in career. They are totally gutless and bottom out on the straights pretty quick. Racing they are much easier as they are soooo slow. But the best thing is the bike details and paint jobs. Best i've seen in a bike game (not that there are many bike games!).

Im really enjoying this, played a full season of 125's last night.

I find it quite easy to play compared to 07/06, which was quite tricky to keep on the track. I played a full season and the only time i came off my 125 was when Bradley Smith made an audacious barge, wiping me off.

I like that you can play a single lap for a race, rather than having to sit through long races, good fun achievements to get as well.
