Hi all,

I need to buy a 2-way intercom for an upcoming trip around Europe.

It also will be doubling up as a intercom between rider and pillion for weekend trips away with the other half.

Would prefer a cheaper solution, but am unsure of costs at the moment.

Range doesn't have to be anything massive, but as long as it's not only a few feet.

Any suggestions?

Using an Autocom myself, they aren't on the cheap side but they are bullet proof in my experince. Got a Logic kit with a Midland PMR radio and hooked into my mp3 player etc, easy to setup. The popular alternative is a Starcom. Plenty of reviews of both units around the net.

On the cheap side if you’re looking for just plain old bike to bike solution a headset and a PMR radio with Vox might do what you need. I think the Midland G8 has a facility for pillion as well.

Hope that helps.

How would something like this fit into a full-face helmet? Would the microphone go through the visor gap so the visor doesn't completely close?
