As the topic says, I'm looking around for some kind of basic course in motorcycle maintenance around Birmingham so I can keep on top of this on my bike. My issue lays with the fact that I learn better when I do things hand on with someone there to ask questions to as opposed to reading a manual - my brain just works better that way.
I have noticed that a couple of colleges do a basic course in this but they don't start till September and I'd rather get on top of this as soon as I can. Alternatively, maybe someone around Birmingham is kind enough to spend an hour or two here and there to help me build my knowledge and guide me to better bike maintenance.
This came about when I was doing a simple chain adjustment on the Bandit and for some reason, the rear wheel ended up being a little stiff, maybe the brakes were dragging it a bit due to bad alignment. This was stressing me out and the manual's full of numbers etc just didn't help at all.

This course seems great and covers all the point I need but don't think it starts till September.
I call upon the people on this forum, please help a newb out!
