I really like this phone I just wish they had put. 8mp camera on it. Then this would be the phone to have.
Hopefully this will be a good upgrade to the x10 although shame about the camera.

It would appear the current thought is that the bootloader is pretty high level but may not be encrypted although some of the XDA people believe it is?
Either way some skilled guys are working on it and have said they will keep things in motion. Root is good but I imagine they will crack the bootloader once they get their hans on a handset as they're working off an image at the moment.
Still, root is progress enough even before the phone is out, it will allow for Titanium Backup to be used if anything

It seems the phones system files aren't encrypted, but they are signed, which somewhat throws a spanner in the works for the folks at XDA. Apparently you can still get around it, but it may leave limitations in place that make things awkward?

My thoughts exactly. SGS2 looks nice, but it's too big really.

Had an HD2, currently using a Desire, and 4" would be the sweet-spot for me.

Hey guys, I'v had a desire and now galaxy S but hopefully next week i will have a atrix from US and i will post how it works on UK network. There is root and now xda guys have hacked some files to allow webtop to run without the dock, so you can just use HDMI to a TV and select webtop (which usually needs media dock to run or laptop dock)
yeah let us know how it performs mate. im in the states in June and hope to bring back some goodies
I see they have now hacked it so the webtop will launch when hdmi is connected, no dock etc needed....
Now if they can get a more linux like disto going on with the webtop apt-get and what not then this is going to be simply awesome... I'd buy one in a flash.

totally agree, 4" is a nice big screen, but compact enough.
