Mightily impressive! Seems almost too good to be true. Are Motorola known to make good phones though?

They certainly have had their moments, been few are far between in the past, but after they launched the original Droid they seem to have been on a bit of a role. They can't seem to bring their US mind/marketshare to Europe for some reason however, which is disappointing

Motorola make great phones but like Nokia they still seem to struggle a bit with software. (Looks like that's changing with the recent split?)

Luckily it's Android, so you can basically do whatever you like

My defy has been totally brilliant so far (once you've changed the UI/removed the bloat) The Atrix will be no different. Can't wait!

Problem with removing blur and/or whatever skin they're using this week is that it'll surely kill all compatibility with that laptop dock? For me that is the most interesting and unique part about the phone

It should be fine, the dock software is just an standalone app. You'll be able to remove most the bloat (amazon.mp3 grrrrr) without any conflicts once it's rooted

Wow motorola have really stepped up to the plate so to speak...this Atrix does look very very nice indeed...stunning handset with stunning feature set.

Looks very nice, 960x540 screen is tasty.

My only problem with Moto phones is Motorola themselves. For some bizarre reason they make it difficult for the modders to root / develop custom roms, but don't even make up for it by being good with in-house updates. My Dext would still be on 1.5 if it was up to Motorola, thanks to modders fortunately finding an unintended exploit (months after release) I'm rolling with 2.1 and even have multitouch and overclocking.
