Anyone here ever got a contract with free ipod, psp etc. Saw a post about a free mini bike/quad a while back.

Its with onestopphoneshop but doesnt say much about the free gift its self.

Finally what is the V3 like? Had a sereis 60 phone for yonks and never used anything other than a nokia.

Sometimes, they do crap things like not send you the gift until the end of your contract.. or some really far away point in time, like the 60-day point.

As long as you're sure the gift will arrive without problems, you should be fine. However, the V3 will probably make you suicidal if you're used to Series 60 - the interface can only have been designed by someone who actively tried to make it impossible to achieve anything on the phone.

Plenty of people have the V3 so I'm sure you can give one a try before buying...

Had one of the first V3's and took it back and replaced it with a series 60 phone (7610) within the 14 days.

Wasn't keen on the menus on the V3, but the main deciding factor was how unstable it was. From day one it would crash about once a day, but by day 7 it had risen to three or four times a day, requiring removal of the battery each time. I loved the size and feel of it, but definitely a case of form over function.

people complain a hell of a lot about V3's being crap, I have the new V3i and tbh i reckon its not bad at all, I used a 6210 for years and the v3i's menu system is every bit as easy to use as the nokia, and its much faster.

V3s are going for £150 on ebay, prehaps i could sell it and use the sim card in my 7610. Do orange still lock their phones/sim cards?

They lock the phone but there is no way to lock a sim

oh, if you are getting the V3 from OSPS then they may send you a sim free handset.

would they mind if you asked to have sim free, or is it in there interest to supply a sim locked phone?
