If the adverts are kept short like on Eurosport it isn't too bad, but if they are long 2-3 mins ones like before then I will continue with Sky.

ITVs previous advertising structure was 5x 3 minute breaks during the race. If they put them back, they will start with where they came from I'd expect.

If they bring back adverts I hope it's a split screen kinda thing rather than blocking the actual viewing of the race. Sore memories of ITV's previous coverage. Then again I'm losing interest a little in F1 at the moment so I'm not going to start throwing toys out the pram!

I genuinely can't see Sky putting ads on mid-race. We all have terrible memories of ITV's shambles, so it would be suicidal for Sky to suddenly do that.

I see this as an opportunity for Sky to get more viewers by being the 'only channel in the UK you can watch F1 advert free', it's an excellent USP.

And if they have adverts? Well then who's going to bother subscribing to Sky - if we're going to watch F1 with mid-race ads then we may as well get it for free.

Exactly, if Sky were to implement mid-race I could see a lot of people who have bought Sky Sports just for the F1 cancel it and just watch on ITV, however horrendous the presentation of it. You'll still be watching the same race, with the same ad breaks.

I personally wouldn't cancel it because I have it for football as well, but not everyone likes football...

On the upside, their coverage of the BTCC is most excellent. No ad breaks during the races for that. :D

If I cancel Sky, I can probably to afford to go to all the events in person. Went to 5 rounds in 2015 all with pit garage access with a team, plus Media Day.

Channel 4 are pretty terrible with broadcasting sport though. And they always get really bizarre pundits

Ideally and if they have any sense they'll take everyone over from the BBC, ready made Production Team (which is award winning) and presenters that have chemistry and a format that works well.

If they can. Some of them might be contracted to the BBC. Give Lee McKenzie a chance to be the host rather than just pit lane reporter.

I watched the 2012 Paralympic Games on 4 and it was very good.

So channel 4 will be getting 2-4 million extra viewers per race next year. Awesome news.
