Only one word can describe this game for me - cack.

After 3 hours playing time I have not been able to qualify in any race, any vehicle.

The boost is useless, by the time it kicks in, its about to overheat.

The vehicles explode at the thought of lifting more than one wheel off the ground. Why can't they roll over and keep going?!!

Only the music is good which has nothing to do with the game developers.

Surely wrong forum?

And 3 hours with not being able place sounds more like cack handedness to me (I mean my 6 year old nephew with Dyspraxia could place in a race with half an hours playing)

But hey-ho each to their own as they say.

I've found it quite easy, you suck :p

And re the boost, it's effective immediately for me. I just use it in short spurts unless on a long stretch.

I hate the game too at times, in that it's very frustrating and unfair at times, but having said all that I had no problems doing all the level 1+2 races, and I've nearly finished level 3 although they have started getting tricky. I think around 60% of races I won first time.

You just need to have a few tries and learn a safe route, that's what the game comes down to, and learn where the tricky bits are. Also use the boost sparingly (the boost works instantly btw, not when the meter gets to full, which causes you to explode). Don't use it approaching corners, use it along with the handbrake to power out of corners, the boost actually helps you get round tight corners if you use it right. Also choose the right route for the vehicles you're using, the lighter vehicles should take higher routes. You should never explode through overboosting since it plays a sound to warn you.

It is the sort of game though where you sit there playing it wondering if you're actually having fun. I had to turn the music off btw, I hated it. I'm not a 'wall of noise' fan :D

I love the demo and im considering getting the full game even though i bought the PS3 primarily for Blu-Ray. I can get it new for £17.99 so it seems decent.

I liked it. Didn't qualify for the first few races then tried something different. As mentioned if you use the boost at small times and when coming out of corners then you'll win.

So... the game is cack because your driving skills are cack?

I bought a PS3 the other week and got this cheap pre-owned simply because it was raved about when it was released.

Its alright but only as far as it was 1/2 decent to launch with a console, doesnt really stand up to todays offerings and is average at best. Glad i didnt pay full price :)

it's an alright game, shame it's only 1 player though like most ps3 games

It is massively unfair though. Doesn't matter how good or bad you are, the computer players are always just behind you. I came 3rd with a time of 6.36 once and then won it the next go with a time of 7.16...dodgy
