My daughter came back from Braehead (shopping arena near glasgow), wearing a Motorstorm Pacific Rift hat, they were giving them away.

I quite enjoyed the demo.
Enough to fork out £35 for the full product though? During the summer when games releases are quite slow i would certainly pick this up, but in the run up to xmas i really can't afford to buy this as well as all the outstanding titles coming out. I think many people will feel the same.

They have spoilt the handling it is not as good as the first version.

Personally i found it terrible and a bit of a chore to play. The handling wasn't as fun as the first Motorstorm nor it's closest rival PURE. Also the amount of slowdown is quite horrendous.
My mate commented that the demo was an old build, which is fine but they really chose a poor level to showcase their game and have i mentioned the handling yet? Dull dull dull. I can only hope the full game will have vastly improved and that the punters haven't been put off by the demo too much.

handling for me is exactly the same as the 1st, heavly relies on handbreak on the sharp bends with boosting out, just like the 1st. Are you sure your not getting the slowdown mixed up with the new boosting effect as not noticed any slowdown

It was most noticeable when i was airbourne.
The game goes into a sort of slow-mo when you're in the air, i'm led to believe it's a deliberate effect to made the mid-air collisions look cooler.

This feels exactly like the first one to me. Handling and mechanics are the same. Its downfall is the low res textures on the ground and close foreground. The cars and background are stunning and the map was fun to play. I do reckon this will be better than the first with the additional features, thought the monster trucks were fun to drive aswell. They need to patch the res issue, hopefully the track was a one off who knows. I loved the first one and so this is a day 1 purchase for me automatically I think as imo it looks great.
