Mount network drives/locations at boot?

I'm running windows xp and have a number of files stored on a server.

Have created shortcuts to the directories I need, as well as to the overall shared drive.

Now when I first boot my machine, if I go to recent documents and click on a file that is stored on the network drive, I get an error saying that the file isn't found.

If I then open the shared drive, I can go back to the file in recent documents and it opens just fine.

Map the drive with "reconnect at logon"?

Or write a batch script that remaps the drive?
