Had a search about this on some mac forums but the only solutions i can find is people saying just to kill the process but they just start up again and they are still there after a restart.

The problem:

mount_hfs = 95.5% cpu

syslogd = 94.6% cpu

My disk space is also disappearing rapidly too, from what i have read it is caused by syslogd. It is eating up about 250mb/min atm

I have turned Time Machine off as i read it can be cause by this but no change.

So... Helps?

If i unplug my firewire drive mount_hfs goes down to about 40% but still is doing something??

I restored to a few days back but it makes no difference and i cba re-installing :/
